In a notable achievement for Kwara State, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, has been newly inaugurated to serve in the 6th ECOWAS Parliament.
The inauguration ceremony, held under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, took place yesterday, on the 4th of March 2024.
Nevertheless, this recent milestone comes on the heels of another victory for Kwara State, as two weeks ago, Senator Saliu Mustapha from Kwara Central was sworn in as a member of the African Union’s pan.
However, the ECOWAS Parliament, consisting of 115 members from 15 member countries, including Nigeria, plays a vital role in advancing regional integration, cooperation, and development across West Africa.
