The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, Mr. Ismail Ayodeji, over the passing of his mother, Alhaja Hauwa Salihu Oniyo.
In a condolence message signed by the Commission’s Press Secretary, Saheed Abdullahi, and released in Ilorin, Coach Mogaji described the late Alhaja Hauwa Salihu Oniyo as a disciplinarian and virtuous mother whose positive influence extended beyond her immediate family to the larger society.
He noted that the deceased was a pious and devout Muslim who lived an exemplary life characterized by humility, compassion, and dedication to the service of humanity.
Coach Mogaji urged the SWAN Chairman and other members of the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that their matriarch lived a fulfilled and impactful life worthy of emulation.
While describing her passing as a colossal loss to the family and community, the Sports Commission Chairman prayed Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
