Nigeria hip hop sensation, Burna Boy has been declared by famous streaming platforms: Boomplay, Apple Music and Spotify as the top male artist for year 2022.
Burna Boy takes pole position ahead of Asake who comes in at second spot and Kizz Daniel who is crowned the third most streamed artist.
Burna Boy had, at the beginning of 2022, released his 6th album ‘Love, Damini’ which became the most streamed album on Apple Music Nigeria, Spotify Nigeria and Boomplay in Nigeria, 2022. His popular hit from the album ‘Last Last’ enjoyed wide international success which largely contributes to propelling Burna Boy to the top of the music charts.
Burna Boy now stands out as the most streamed artist from the three major streaming platforms in Nigeria’s music industry.
Aside this success, Burna Boy will be ending 2022 with two Grammy nominations for Global Song of the year and World Album.
