The Delta State Bolakale Adisa Mogaji (BAM) Forum has expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Kwara State and Sardauna of Ilorin, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for reappointing its patron and sports icon, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, as the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission.
In a statement signed by the Forum’s Secretary, Mr. Fatai Omar, the group described the reappointment as a reward for Mogaji’s steadfast commitment to grassroots sports development and his track record of achievements during his first tenure.
According to the Forum, under Mogaji’s leadership, Kwara State witnessed significant improvements in sports administration, infrastructural upgrades, and youth engagement in both local and national competitions.
The Forum also congratulated other board members appointed alongside Mogaji, describing the team as a “beautiful combination of wisdom, youth, and experience.” They include:
Mr. Dele Abubakar (MON) – a respected and decorated sportsman of national repute.
Mr. Abdullah Yunusa Lade – described as the youngest and vibrant face on the board, bringing youthful energy and fresh perspectives.
Mrs. Monisola Makanjuola – an ex-international in baseball and handball, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Baseball and Softball Federation.
The statement further praised Governor AbdulRazaq for his foresight in assembling a balanced and competent board capable of consolidating Kwara’s rising profile as a hub of sporting excellence in Nigeria.
“This reappointment is not only a recognition of Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji’s tireless contributions to sports development, but also an assurance that Kwara’s sports future is in safe hands. With this blend of experience, innovation, and youth, the state is set to record even greater achievements,” Mr. Omar said.
The Delta State Bolakale Adisa Mogaji Forum pledged its continuous support for the Executive Chairman and his board, while expressing optimism that Kwara will continue to produce champions and serve as a beacon of sports excellence across Nigeria.
