Kwara State Government has successfully concluded the Holiday Edition (2nd Term) of its flagship Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program, which ran from Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 25, 2025.
The program, which continues to gain momentum across the state, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and school administrators. Speaking on behalf of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, the Special Assistant on Digital Innovations, Hon. Kayode Ishola, lauded the efforts of all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the initiative.
“We commend our committed teachers, instructors, school administrators, and the ever-diligent students who made this edition of the program a resounding success,” Ishola said. “The level of engagement, learning outcomes, and feedback have been overwhelmingly positive.”
According to the statement, participating schools will be duly compensated, while Certificates of Participation and Commendation will be issued in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
The Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program, which aims to equip students with essential 21st-century skills, will resume alongside the new academic term on Monday, May 5, 2025.
The state government reiterated its commitment to expanding access to digital education and preparing students to thrive in a technology-driven global economy.
Hon. Kayode Ishola also expressed deep appreciation to community leaders, school heads, and other stakeholders for their continued support, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with the vision of Governor AbdulRazaq to transform education and create opportunities for young Kwarans.
“This is part of our broader mission to ensure every Kwara child can compete globally and contribute meaningfully to society,” he added.
The program continues to position Kwara State as a model in digital education in Nigeria.
