The Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on New Media, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi (popularly known as Solace), has been conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Aare Bobájiròrò of Oko-Irese Land by His Royal Highness, Oba Victor Oluwafemi Olawuyi (Adogunnibo I), the Oloko of Oko-Irese.
The honour was bestowed on Fafoluyi as part of activities marking the 20th anniversary of Oba Olawuyi’s reign on the throne of his forefathers today, the 26th of October 2025.
In his acceptance message, Aare Bobájiròrò Fafoluyi expressed deep appreciation to his mentor and principal, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his unwavering support and exemplary leadership, describing the Governor as “a father, mentor, and promoter of culture and tradition in the State of Harmony.”
“First and foremost, I wish to express my profound gratitude to my father and mentor, His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his immense contributions to my growth and his steadfast commitment to promoting tradition and culture in our dear Kwara State,” Fafoluyi said.
He congratulated the Oloko of Oko-Irese, Oba Victor Oluwafemi Olawuyi, on his two decades of impactful leadership, praying that his reign continues to bring peace and progress to the people of Oko-Irese.
Fafoluyi also extended appreciation to the Irepodun Traditional Council, led by His Royal Highness, Oba Ismail Yahya Alebiosu, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, and to His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Oyeyipo Babalola, the Alaran of Aran-Orin, for their support and presence at the ceremony.
He acknowledged the Kwara State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon. Abdulquowiy Olododo, and other dignitaries and political stakeholders who graced the occasion, including members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, loyalists, family, and friends.
“This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a call to greater service to my community, our heritage, and humanity at large,” he said.
“As Aare Bobájiròrò, I reaffirm my dedication to the values of unity, progress, and development of our beloved Oko-Irese land and Kwara State at large.”
Fafoluyi prayed for continued peace and prosperity in Oko-Irese, Kwara State, and Nigeria as a whole, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in building a stronger and more united society.
The new Aare Bobájiròrò concluded with words of gratitude and patriotism:
“Long live Oko-Irese,
Long live our Traditional Institutions,
Long live Irepodun,
Long live Kwara State,
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
