IEDPU Applauds Gov. Abdulrahman for Immortalizing Justice Kawu

 

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has praised Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, for naming a courthouse after the late Justice Saidu Kawu, a pioneer Chief Judge of Kwara State.

According to Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, National President of IEDPU, “The Governor’s decision to name the proposed Court House after Justice Kawu is a welcoming development, and we commend him for recognizing and appreciating the contributions of Justice Kawu to the development of the state.”

Alhaji Abdulmalik noted that Justice Kawu was a remarkable jurist who made significant contributions to the building of the Kwara State judiciary from scratch. He also praised Justice Kawu’s patriotism, saying it would encourage more citizens to demonstrate a similar commitment to the state.

Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, National PubliThe City Secretary of IEDPU, released the statement on behalf of Alhaji Abdulmalik, saying, “We believe that the gesture of the Governor would encourage more citizens of the state to demonstrate patriotism as exemplified by Justice Kawu and several other departed and surviving indigenes of the State”.
