Today, 15th of March 2025, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has just been awarded the Daily Independent’s Governor of the Year Award for 2024 in Hospitality, Enterprise, and Creative Economy.
This prestigious honor recognizes the governor’s tireless efforts to revamp the state’s economy through innovative projects.
Some of the notable projects that contributed to this award include the establishment of the Innovation Hub, Garment Factory, Sugar Factory, Film Studio, Patigi Motel, International Conference Centre, and the remodeled Kwara Hotel.
The award ceremony is currently taking place at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Representing Kwara State at the event are the Honourable Commissioners for Communications, Business, Innovation, and Technology, as well as the Managing Director of the Kwara Garment Factory.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to transforming Kwara State’s economy has earned him this well-deserved recognition. His administration’s focus on enterprise, hospitality, and creative economy has created new opportunities for growth and development in the state.
