Kwara Coding & Digital Literacy Programme Records Landmark Progress in Week 4, Governor AbdulRazaq Pays Surprise Visit

The Kwara Coding & Digital Literacy Programme has continued to gather momentum as it entered its fourth week, recording remarkable progress in student comprehension and practical application of digital skills.
Participants demonstrated increased confidence in areas such as Python programming, web development, and Innovation Thinking, with many showing mastery of problem-solving techniques, data structures, logic statements, and interactive design. The emphasis on creativity and critical thinking is steadily shaping the next generation of digital innovators in the state.
A defining highlight of the week came with the unscheduled visit of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, to United Community Junior Secondary School, Taiwo Isale, Ilorin. The Governor personally interacted with students and instructors, asked questions about their learning experiences, and joined in photo sessions. His visit was widely seen as a strong demonstration of the administration’s commitment to human capital development through technology-driven education.
Similarly, the Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovations, led by Hon. Ishola Kayode, carried out oversight visits to several schools within Kwara Central. These visits reaffirmed the government’s hands-on approach in ensuring teaching quality, proper delivery of content, and adherence to the objectives of the programme.
Despite the holiday season, attendance across all training centers remained encouragingly high. Students were actively engaged not just in acquiring technical skills but also in design thinking, preparing them to apply knowledge in real-world problem-solving.
To further guarantee quality, the programme adopted an enhanced monitoring system that included unannounced inspections and virtual check-ins, maintaining accountability without disrupting teaching activities.
As the fourth week drew to a close, the initiative stood out as a transformative investment in Kwara’s youth—preparing them with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy, while advancing Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s vision of a knowledge-driven, tech-enabled future for the state.
