The Kwara State Football Veterans Association (KSFVA), led by its Chairman, Mr. Hamzat Lawanson, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Sports Commission, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Veterans Association and the Commission in the areas of football development and overall sports advancement in Kwara State.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Lawanson, a former international footballer, commended the Sports Commission for its sustained efforts in promoting sports across the state.
He reaffirmed the Association’s readiness to contribute meaningfully to grassroots football development, youth mentorship, and community-based sporting initiatives that will further enhance talent discovery and growth.
In his response, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji warmly received the delegation and assured them of the Commission’s openness to partnerships that will drive sports development in Kwara State.
He described the involvement of former footballers and veterans as crucial to inspiring young talents, preserving sporting heritage, and strengthening the sports sector through experience and guidance.
Both parties agreed to explore joint programmes and initiatives that will promote football development, unity, and sustainable sporting progress across the state.
