“Kwara is Proud of You” – Sports Commission Boss Mogaji Encourages Kwara Young Football Stars Representing Nigeria

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has sent a heartfelt message of encouragement and pride to two young footballers from Kwara State — Salihu Yusuf Ishola and Fuhad Abdulsalam Moruff — who are currently representing Nigeria at the 1st African School Sports Games in Algiers, Algeria.
The prestigious continental youth championship, which runs from July 26 to August 5, 2025, brings together student-athletes from across Africa to compete in various sporting events. Salihu and Fuhad, both standout football talents, were selected to be part of Nigeria’s squad, flying the flags of Kwara State and the nation with pride.
Salihu Yusuf Ishola, a product of Arsenal Kiddies FC and now with Adoration FC, and Fuhad Abdulsalam Moruff of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) have been recognized for their discipline, talent, and outstanding performances at school and youth competitions.
In his congratulatory message, Mallam Mogaji described the boys as “true ambassadors of Kwara’s football excellence”, urging them to stay focused and give their best as they compete against some of the best school talents on the continent.
“Kwara is proud of you. Your selection to represent Nigeria at this level is not just a personal achievement, it is a victory for every grassroots coach, academy, and supporter who has contributed to your journey,” Mogaji said. “Play with pride, stay disciplined, and make Kwara and Nigeria proud.”
The Sports Commission Chairman also extended his appreciation to the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Alhaji Idris Musa Abdullahi (Thuraya), for his instrumental support in nurturing young talents and facilitating their transition to the national level.
As the African School Sports Games progress in Algeria, the entire Kwara sports community is rallying behind Salihu and Fuhad, hopeful that their performances will open more doors and inspire the next generation of footballers from the state.
