Kwara State Govt Pledges Impactful Housing Policy for Residents

 

The Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing housing policies that positively impact the lives of all residents, regardless of social, political, or religious affiliation.

This pledge was made by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Segun Ogunsola, during the first quarter 2025 Inter-Ministerial Press Briefing held today, 29th of April 2025 in Ilorin.

According to Dr. Ogunsola, the current administration, led by Gov. AbdulRazaq, has made significant progress in key developmental projects. These projects include:

– Kwara Hotel Complex Remodeling: A major renovation of the state’s iconic hotel
– Adewole Cottage Hospital: Upgraded healthcare facilities for residents
– Indoor Sports Hall Upgrade: Modernized sports infrastructure for athletes
– Kwara Football Academy Renovation
– Ilorin International Conference Center: A hub for international events and conferences
– Kwara ICT Hub: Fostering innovation and technological growth
– Ultra-Modern Kwara Court House Complex: Enhanced justice system infrastructure
– New Civil Service Hospital: Improved healthcare services for civil servants

Dr. Ogunsola emphasized that these projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to boosting the state’s infrastructural fortune, as encapsulated in the ‘IseNtesiwaju’ slogan. He urged citizens to continue supporting these initiatives for meaningful impact.

As Dr. Ogunsola noted, “These landmark projects have already started changing the face of the State in terms of infrastructural outlook, aesthetics, and revenue prospect.” The government aims to position Kwara State as a leader in physical infrastructural development in Nigeria ¹.
