Kwara State has once again been placed on the global sports map as a young genius, Abdulqudus Olawale A., emerged second in the world at the just-concluded World Youth Scrabble Championship in Malaysia.
In a thrilling Final Round 24, Qudus (Nigeria) edged India’s Suyash with a close score of 453–442, sealing his position as the second-best youth scrabble player in the world.
Olawale, who has consistently demonstrated brilliance on the board, added another feather to his cap after previously clinching victory earlier this year at the Africa Youth Scrabble Championship in Kenya. His performance in Malaysia confirms him as one of the brightest young minds in world scrabble. The outstanding feat has attracted widespread celebration across Kwara and Nigeria at large.
