Lawyer Kills Husband After He Discovered Their HouseBoy Is Her Son

Police authorities in Akwa Ibom State have arrested a 36-year-old lawyer named Abasiesebanga Ikoiwak, alongside five others, for allegedly conspiring to murder her 41-year-old husband, Barrister Godwin Ikoiwak

Reports say that the victim was unaware that their houseboy was his wife’s biological son.

The accused lawyer had reportedly told the husband that the boy was her younger brother, which he accepted.

The witness, Barrister Sunny Anyanwu, a close friend of the deceased, shared with the Uyo High Court that the late Ikoiwak shared his issues around his wife’s infidelity.

Ikoiwak revealed to him that he had informed his in-laws about his wife’s infidelity. Also had gone to a meeting at their family compound in Nung Udoe Itak, Ikono, but never made it back.

Anyanwu disclosed that the deceased had informed him that his wife had been in a relationship with her ex-boss.

He also learned that the accused had a child named after her maternal grandfather.

The grandfather who, Reverend Father Maurice Mbeke, who had employed the accused lawyer as a house help.

The prosecution team led by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Barr. Joseph Umoren presented audio-evidence which was played in court.

The accused persons are currently under the custody of the police as they continue to investigate the matter.
