The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has once again demonstrated his hallmark of people-oriented leadership as he sent an inspiring message to Team Kwara currently participating at the ongoing National Youth Games (NYG) “Asaba 2025” in Delta State.
In his goodwill message to the contingent, Mogaji showed remarkable inclusivity by addressing athletes across different sporting events—ranging from Scrabble, Swimming, Deaf Athletics, Karate, Female Tennis, Fives, Cycling, Judo, and Wrestling—encouraging them to strive for excellence and bring glory to Kwara State. He urged each team to believe in themselves, assuring them that their efforts would be rewarded.
Notably, Mogaji did not limit his recognition to athletes alone; he also saluted coaches, secretaries, drivers, and the Director of Sports, commending their sacrifices and leadership. This gesture reflects a leadership style rooted in acknowledgment and motivation, a key trait that inspires commitment within the sports community.
His words, “You are all great ambassadors of Kwara State,” reinforced the governor’s administration’s stance on sports as a unifying and development tool for young people.
Opinion-wise, Mogaji’s approach signals more than just routine words of encouragement. It reveals a leader who understands the psychology of sports—valuing every hand that contributes to the success of the team. In a time when sports administrators are often criticized for neglecting the welfare of athletes, Mogaji’s humility and attention to detail stand out.
