The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has received an award of excellence from the Inner Caucus of Football Legends in appreciation of his contributions to sports development and youth empowerment in Kwara State.
The award was formally received today, Friday, 19th December 2025, at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Centre, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
Mallam Mogaji was ably represented by Olaide Ahli, Sports Officer of the Kwara State Sports Commission and Head of the Players Registration and Transfer Unit of Kwara Football Academy (KFA), who received the award on his behalf.
Speaking after the programme, Olaide Ahli conveyed the appreciation of the Executive Chairman to the executives and entire membership of the Inner Caucus of Football Legends for the honour, describing the award as a strong motivation to do more for sports development in the state.
He stated that Mallam Mogaji, in line with the vision of the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq remains committed to promoting sports as a tool for youth empowerment, talent discovery, and social development.
According to him, the government and the Kwara State Sports Commission will continue to strengthen policies and programmes aimed at improving sports infrastructure, grassroots participation, and athlete development across the state.
Mogaji further urged members of the Inner Caucus of Football Legends to sustain their efforts in supporting sports development, noting that their experience, mentorship, and advocacy are crucial to nurturing young talents and preserving the rich sporting heritage of Kwara State.
The award, presented in the category of “Excellence in Sports Development and Youth Empowerment,” recognises Mallam Mogaji’s leadership and dedication to advancing sports administration and opportunities in Kwara State.
Members of the Inner Caucus of Football Legends commended the Sports Commission for its progressive initiatives and reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with relevant stakeholders to further develop sports in the state.
