Nigerian Forward Olaiya Kikelomo Confident of Victory as Asa Tel Aviv Faces Hapoel Tel Aviv

Nigerian forward Olaiya Barakat Kikelomo has promised to deliver a strong performance as Asa Tel Aviv prepares to face Hapoel Tel Aviv in a crucial Israeli Women’s Premier League match on Thursday at 8:30 PM.

The Kwara-born star, who has been a key player for Asa Tel Aviv this season, believes her team is well-prepared to secure all three points. She also set a personal target for the match, vowing to find the back of the net and provide an assist.

“There is no small match as far as I am concerned. Every game is tough, but we are fit and ready. We will give Hapoel Tel Aviv a tough time on Thursday, and I am confident I will score and create a goal for my team,” she said.

So far in the 2024/2025 season, Kikelomo has played in every league game, making 20 appearances without missing a single match. She has contributed five goals and seven assists, proving to be a vital attacking threat for Asa Tel Aviv.

The former Nigeria U-17 international also expressed her willingness to represent the senior national team if given the opportunity.

“I have played for Nigeria’s U-17 team before, and I’m ready to play for the Super Falcons if called up. But it’s not by force—whenever the time is right, I’ll give my best,” she stated.

Kikelomo, originally from Ilorin, Kwara State, started her football journey in Lagos before moving to Tanzania, where she played for Simba Queens. Her impressive performances earned her a move to Israel, where she continues to thrive.

With Asa Tel Aviv aiming to strengthen their position in the league, all eyes will be on Kikelomo as she looks to lead her team to victory on Thursday night.
