To guarantee the protection of people and property during the holy month of Ramadan, the Kano State Hisbah Board (Kano Hisbah) has sent staff to mosques.
The Board’s public relations officer, Ibrahim Lawan, said this in a statement that was released on Thursday in Kano.
Dr. Harun Ibn-Sina, the board’s Commander-General, stated: “To protect worshippers and their property from anti-national elements, Hisbah corps would visit mosques during Iftar, Tarawih, and Tahajjud prayers.
“Those who practice social vices in this holy month will be dealt severely. The same would apply to certain young people who consume food in public while fasting, he warned.
In an effort to ease their suffering, Mr. Ibn-Sina urged the public to help orphans and the poor.
He asserted that it was rewarding to feed others during the Holy Month because Allah, SWT, “opens the doors of paradise,” and as a result, one must perform numerous good deeds to win Allah’s favor.
According to Mr. Ibn-Sina, persons in need may also be given money, clothes, food, cereals, water, and other supplies.
In a broadcast on Wednesday night, Mohammed Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto and the head of the National Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), stated that fasting will begin on Thursday.
The month of Ramadan is a time for introspection, growth, and increased worship.
Muslims are obliged to work harder to adhere to Islamic beliefs.
