The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has officially dissolved the management board of the state’s football club, Kwara United FC.
The dissolution was confirmed today by the Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Bola Mogaji.
In a statement, Mogaji announced the dissolution, stating, “The management of Kwara United has been officially dissolved. They presented a letter to us, and we duly forwarded it to the Secretary.”
He said the decision to dissolve the management board of Kwara United FC comes as part of the Governor’s efforts to restructure and enhance the performance of the football club.
By taking this step, Governor AbdulRazaq aims to revitalize the team and elevate its standing both within the state and at the national level.
However, the dissolved management board had been responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic development of Kwara United FC.
With the termination of their roles, the club will now undergo a transitional phase during which a new management team will be appointed.
The move is expected to bring about significant changes in the administration, technical aspects, and overall direction of the club.
As a result, Kwara United FC supporters and football enthusiasts in the state eagerly await the Governor’s next steps in the process of revitalizing the team.
Mogaji further said by making strategic changes the governor aims to ensure that Kwara United FC becomes a formidable force in Nigerian football and a source of pride for the state.
