In an exclusive interview with Pristinegist, popular comedian Abdullateef Tojubole, also known as Iroyin Kayefi has come forward to shed light on the recent controversy surrounding him and fellow comedian Adelicious.
Tojubole revealed that the entire incident was nothing more than an elaborate prank.
Contrary to the rumors and videos that surfaced online, Tojubole clarified that there was no illegal or immoral behavior involved between him and Adelicious.
He categorically denied any claims of engaging in illicit activities or accepting money from her, emphasizing that everything that was shown in the videos was part of the prank.
Tojubole went on to explain the underlying purpose of the prank, stating that he orchestrated it to highlight some of the unethical practices prevalent in the entertainment industry.
He specifically aimed to address the issue of established celebrities taking advantage of upcoming artists, comedians, and actors who are in need of support and opportunities.
However, to warn some individuals who are desperate to make it irrespective of what will come after it. “ don’t sell yourself cheaply for fame”, he added.
Furthermore, Tojubole expressed his admiration for Adelicious’s talent, emphasizing that the prank was also a way to showcase her hidden potential.
He believes that she is an incredibly talented individual who has been underappreciated in the industry, and he wanted to use this opportunity to give her the recognition she deserves.
Recognizing the impact his actions may have had on his fans, both locally and internationally, Tojubole sincerely apologized for any inconvenience or distress caused. He acknowledged his responsibility and promised that he would not engage in similar pranks or content in the future.
