United Nigeria Airlines to Begin Direct Flights to Ilorin December 5, Expands Network Nationwide

United Nigeria Airlines has announced the commencement of direct flight operations from Lagos and Abuja to the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, beginning December 5, 2025—marking a major boost for air travel connectivity in North Central Nigeria.

According to a statement issued on Monday, the new service will operate from Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The airline described the move as another strategic step in its mission to connect more Nigerian cities with safe, reliable, and accessible air transport.

The company said the expansion reflects its commitment to improving domestic mobility, enhancing national integration, and providing greater convenience for travellers, including business executives, families, and visitors.

United Nigeria Airlines expressed enthusiasm about serving Ilorin, noting that the new routes will contribute to the social and economic development of Kwara State. “With every new destination, we reaffirm our mantra of Flying to Unite—bringing Nigerians closer to opportunities, culture, and commerce,” the statement added.

Tickets for the new routes are now available on the airline’s website, flyunitednigeria.com, and through accredited agents nationwide.

The airline also unveiled additional network expansions scheduled for December. Direct flights from Lagos and Abuja to the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport are set to commence on December 10, 2025. Similarly, direct flights from Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport to Chinua Achebe Airport, Anambra, will begin on December 15, expanding travel options for passengers across the country.
