In a bold step towards youth development and technological empowerment, the Kwara State Government has inaugurated its Coding and Digital Literacy Program in Patigi Local Government. The initiative, officially launched on March 19, 2025, underscores the administration’s commitment to equipping students with essential digital skills for the future.
The flag-off ceremony was led by key government officials, including Hon. Usman Lade (Commissioner for Water Resources), Hon. Ishola Kayode (Special Assistant on Digital Innovations), and Hon. Fatima Jiyah (Patigi LG Development Officer).
As part of the launch, officials visited Central Primary School and Patigi Technical School to assess the program’s early implementation and engage directly with students and educators. The initiative is set to cover 50 public schools and impact 7,500 students, positioning digital literacy as a cornerstone of educational development in Kwara State.
By prioritizing digital education, the Kwara State Government—under the visionary leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON—is fostering a generation of tech-savvy youths equipped with problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
