RES Empowers 50 Youths to Mark Emir of Ilorin’s 30th Anniversary and Its 10 Years of Existence

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the throne, and to mark its own 10th year of existence, Research Enterprise Systems (RES), under the leadership of its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Fatai Aremu, empowered 50 youths in Ilorin on Saturday, November 9, 2025.

The empowerment programme was organized in collaboration with the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) and held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

In his remarks, Professor Fatai Aremu expressed profound gratitude to the Emir of Ilorin for his visionary and unifying leadership over the past three decades. He noted that the Emir has been a symbol of peace, progress, and cultural pride for the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

Professor Aremu prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, strength, and good health for the revered monarch. He reaffirmed RES’s commitment to empowering youths within and beyond Kwara State through innovative capacity-building initiatives.

According to him, “This partnership with IEYDA reflects our shared vision of empowering young people with knowledge, skills, and opportunities that foster community development. We are committed to linking IEYDA with other youth organizations across states so they can serve as role models and mentors to others based on their consolidated achievements.”

The empowerment initiative provided selected participants with essential tools and resources to enhance their livelihoods, promote self-reliance, and encourage entrepreneurship.

Leaders of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) commended Professor Aremu and the Research Enterprise Systems for their consistent support toward youth empowerment and community development. They described the gesture as a worthy contribution to the Emirate’s ongoing transformation efforts under the leadership of Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR.

The event also featured goodwill messages, prayers for continued peace in Ilorin Emirate, and the presentation of empowerment materials to beneficiaries.
