Kwara State Governor and Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Thursday, December 18, attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus meeting held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
The meeting was presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and was attended by top party leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, as well as governors elected on the platform of the party.
The APC National Caucus is a high-level gathering of key leaders and stakeholders of the party. Thursday’s meeting came days after the party rescheduled its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings from December 15–16 to December 18–19.
The National Caucus Meeting typically brings together the President, Vice President, National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), APC governors, and other critical stakeholders to deliberate on political and organisational matters ahead of broader discussions at the NEC.
Thursday’s meeting marked the APC’s second National Caucus gathering of the year, following an earlier session held on February 25. It was also the first caucus meeting since Prof. Yilwatda emerged as the party’s National Chairman in July.
