Ilorin, Kwara State — The APC Ward Chairmen Forum in Kwara State has formally endorsed Salihu Yakubu Danladias its preferred governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections, describing him as the most qualified leader to sustain the developmental strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The endorsement was announced in a statement signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Abdullahi Baba Gobir, on behalf of chairmen representing the 193 wards across the state.

The Forum reaffirmed its loyalty to Governor AbdulRazaq and commended his leadership, which it said has strengthened both Kwara State and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the group, Danladi’s record as Speaker of the 9th and 10th Kwara State House of Assembly demonstrates his capacity for effective leadership, consensus-building, and governance. The Forum noted that his legislative experience and grassroots connection position him to consolidate on the achievements of the current administration, particularly in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.

The ward chairmen also described Danladi as a loyal party stalwart who has consistently contributed to the growth, stability, and expansion of the APC across Kwara State. They expressed confidence that his emergence as the party’s flagbearer would strengthen the APC’s chances of securing victory in the 2027 governorship election.

As the party’s grassroots structure spread across all 193 wards, the Forum pledged to mobilize members and supporters, strengthen party unity, and work towards delivering a resounding electoral success for the APC in the next election cycle.

The group further called on party stakeholders, members, and supporters across the state to unite behind Danladi and Governor AbdulRazaq in pursuit of continued development and political stability in Kwara State.

“We remain committed to following the leadership and direction of Governor AbdulRazaq as we work collectively to advance the fortunes of our great party and move Kwara State forward,” the statement said.
