Former member of the House of Representatives representing the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, has declared his support for the Kwara State APC governorship candidate, Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, and other candidates contesting on the party’s platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ndakene made his position known during a meeting hosted by his supporters at his country home in Shonga, where he directed his loyalists across Edu, Moro and Patigi to commence massive mobilisation for the APC governorship candidate and the party’s entire ticket.
Speaking during a virtual engagement with his supporters, the former federal lawmaker said his decision was guided by the long-term interests of the people of the constituency and Kwara State at large.
He urged his supporters to put aside political differences and work collectively towards ensuring victory for Salihu and other APC candidates, stressing the need for continuity and sustained development in the state.
According to him, the people of Kwara must support efforts aimed at moving the state forward rather than returning to what he described as an “Egyptian era.”
Ndakene further called on stakeholders and residents across Edu, Moro and Patigi to unite behind Kwara North’s aspiration, mobilise voters at the grassroots and ensure victory for Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu and the entire APC ticket in the 2027 elections.
He said the collective interest of the people should remain the priority, urging his supporters to translate their commitment into effective grassroots mobilisation across the federal constituency.
