FASU president
The Federation of Ayete Student Union (FASU) president-elect, Akinsanmi Hakeem Femi has accused the redemption group their activities are deviating from the progress of Ayete community.
Honourable Femi said this during an exclusive interview with Pristinegist on Friday
Akinsanmi stated that he was perplexed about the letter which was written by the redemption’s secretary to the secondary schools not to participate in the union’s argumentative debate program for the Senior Secondary Schools both Private and Public.
He expressed, “I am the constituted FASU president, and my position is constitutionally justified.”
“We are aware of the action of some set of people called Redemption forming an illegitimate union to disrupt FASU activities,” he added.
He also revealed that those people wrote a letter to some secondary schools to turn the mind of the principals, proprietors, proprietress, teachers, and students against FASU to gain public support.
The president further said, “They are all bunch of idiots who is looking for all the ways to get into FASU positions.”
He explained that they attempted this in the year 2019 and seek for the APU Chairman to help them influence the constitution for their presidential candidate to qualify at all costs.
According to him, this led to the proscription of the union in 2019. They started the same agenda by constituting illegal electoral bodies to conduct an illegitimate election.
“It is unconnected with the fact that some APU cabals were interfering with FASU affairs.
“The APU chairman, Prince Olalere denied the Federation of Ibarapa Student Association, (FIBSA) president, Com. Gabriel Micheal, his right as a town indigene and number one student of ibarapa at large to use the Town Hall because he was lobbying Redemption president’s support.”
“The so-called APU chairman was using Olaosun Kehinde to negotiate with the FIBSA President access to use the whole community town hall.”
“The FIBSA president refused bluntly to his proposal knowing fully their plans and instead took the FIBSA program to Farmadex.”
The FASU President reiterated that their electioneering was illegal, their swearing was reconstituted and there was no handing over.
He also said they were misleading some people that they registered Fasu under the local government.
“It is quite unfortunate because it is a big slap to our union for the such claim”.
“What type of registration is that, should we say it is a limited liability company or what?.”
“These people needed orientation and elites to borrow their sense.”
“Is FASU a tailoring association or Fish sellers association that was registered under a mere local government?”
“We are talking about a union with a constitution”
The president said he has instructed his General Secretary to write a letter to all the Secondary schools to shun the redemption group because they are enemies of our great town.
“I am not surprised with their actions, they have never tasted any tangible position in FASU and their lack of experience is telling on them says the president.
“Ask them who handed it over to them. who are their leaders? what position have they occupied in the union before? Who is their speaker? and where is the Union’s Maze?”
“In as much that they cannot answer all the above questions as people have been asking them many times without any answer then they are anti-FASU,” he concluded.
The new FASU executives and FASU representative Assembly was elected on the 26th of December,2022.
And was sworn in on the 30th of December, 2022.
