Best UTME Candidate Clears WASSCE Result With Eight A1

Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, a 16-year-old student from Anambra State, has proven her academic excellence by acing both the UTME and WASSCE exams. She scored 360 out of 400 in the UTME, making her the best candidate in the 2023 edition of the exam.
She also obtained eight A1 and one B2 in the WASSCE, with A1 in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, and Computer Studies.
Umeh, who attended Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, has been recognised and rewarded for her outstanding performance by various individuals and organisations.
The Anambra State government offered her a scholarship to study in any university of her choice.
The CEO of Erisco Foods Limited, Chief Eric Umeofia, gave her a cash prize of N2.5m on July 28, 2023 at his office in Ikeja, Lagos. She also received other awards and accolades from different sources.
Umeh expressed her gratitude to God and her parents for their support and guidance. She said she hopes to study medicine and surgery at the University of Ibadan.
