In a significant move for both residents and visitors, the Kwara State Government (KWSG) has given the green light to multiple crucial road construction projects.
One notable project is the construction of the Owu Fall Road, leading to West Africa’s tallest waterfall, aimed at enhancing tourism in the state.
Led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the state executive council has also sanctioned the rehabilitation of key roads like the Arandun Township Roundabout-Esie-Oro Township Road and the Ajase Ipo-Oke Iya road.
These infrastructure endeavors seek to improve transportation links and stimulate economic growth in rural areas, bolstering overall socio-economic development.
Furthermore, the council has initiated rehabilitation works on the Ahmadu Bello Way in the state capital to address emerging issues such as cracks and potholes, ensuring road safety and convenience for commuters.
In a forward-looking move, consultancy work for the development of the Ilorin Smart City project has been approved, aiming to create a modern, sustainable urban hub with essential amenities and infrastructure.
