Drama in Kaduna: Tornadoes Coach Allegedly Damages Kwara United Bus After Draw

Kaduna, June 2, 2024 – Niger Tornadoes and Kwara United battled to a 1-1 draw in their NPFL Matchday 34 encounter at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, marked by on-field drama and off-field controversy.

The visitors, Kwara United, took the lead in the 63rd minute thanks to a well-placed strike by Ibrahim Deinde. As the match progressed, it appeared they would secure the win, but Niger Tornadoes found a dramatic equalizer in added time, salvaging a point from the encounter.

However, the match’s intensity spilled over post-game. In a surprising incident, Niger Tornadoes Head Coach Majin Mohammed reportedly damaged a tire on Kwara United’s team bus. The altercation is allegedly linked to an unpaid debt.

Majin Mohammed, who previously served as the Assistant Coach of Kwara United under then Technical Adviser John Obuh, now finds himself at the center of an unsporting controversy.

The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) and club officials are expected to review the incident for potential disciplinary action.
