The Nigerian international, who celebrated the achievement off the pitch, described it as another proud moment in his journey, emphasising the importance of education alongside a professional football career.
Awoniyi said he has always believed that being a footballer should not prevent one from remaining a student of the game, noting that education has become an important part of his personal and professional development.
“I have always believed that being a footballer shouldn’t stop you from being a student of the game and education has become an important part of that journey for me,” Awoniyi said.
He expressed his appreciation to the PFA Business School, its lecturers and his fellow students for the opportunity to learn and share the experience with them.
The striker also thanked his family and friends for their encouragement, support and belief throughout the academic journey.
