Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Friday, March 14, 2025, observed Iftar with the Muslim faithful at his ancestral home, Ile Yerimisa, Idi Igba, in Adeta, Ilorin.
In the spirit of Ramadan, the Governor distributed food to clerics, women, youths, and children in the Idi Igba and Adeta communities, reinforcing his commitment to the welfare of his people.
The gathering was filled with prayers and gratitude as community members expressed appreciation for the Governor’s generosity. Imam Isiaka Alfa-Ebo of Idi Igba Mosque commended Governor AbdulRazaq for always staying connected to his roots despite his leadership responsibilities.
He further prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, good health, and wisdom for the Governor in steering the affairs of the state.
Beyond the local significance of the event, March 14, 2025, also marked a rare celestial phenomenon—a total lunar eclipse, popularly known as a blood moon. As the Earth aligned perfectly between the sun and the moon, a reddish-orange glow illuminated the lunar surface, a spectacle that added a unique backdrop to the evening of prayers and reflection.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s gesture not only exemplifies the values of compassion and unity upheld during Ramadan but also underscores his dedication to fostering strong community ties across Kwara State.
