Gov. Abdulrazaq Sends Sympathies to Olofa Over Mother’s Death

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his condolences to the Olofa of Offa Kingdom, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, following the passing of his mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.

According to a statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, AbdulRazaq condoled with the monarch and the people of Offa on the demise of his mother, who died on April 5, 2025, at the age of 94.

The Governor’s condolence message, signed by Ajakaye, reads: “Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with His Royal Majesty at this difficult moment. We urge His Royal Majesty to be comforted by the rare grace of Allaah on Alhaja for a fulfilling life, the joy of being a major chapter in the community’s story, and the happiness of seeing his children become success stories and also outliving her.”

AbdulRazaq also prayed for the deceased, saying: “We ask Allaah to ease her account, widen and lighten up her grave, and grant her al-jannah Firdaus.”

The Governor’s condolence message was a testament to the strong bond between the government and the Offa Kingdom, with AbdulRazaq reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of the kingdom and its people.
