The official opening ceremony of the championship is scheduled to hold this Saturday 11th of October ,2025, promising to be a colorful event that will bring together football stakeholders, parents, and fans to celebrate youth sports and community unity.
Speaking on the significance of the tournament, Mallam Saka Bola Morrow, head of the organizing committee, emphasized that the Unity Cup goes beyond competition, describing it as a celebration of legacy and a platform for youth empowerment.
“The Bolakale Adisa Mogaji U-13 Unity Cup is not just about football — it’s about building the future,” Mallam Saka Morrow said. “We designed this tournament to identify, nurture, and expose young talents while celebrating a true sports icon, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, whose passion and leadership continue to inspire sports development across Kwara State.”
He further noted that the competition reflects the values Mallam Mogaji stands for — discipline, unity, and excellence, adding that the event will continue annually to sustain his vision for grassroots growth and community harmony through sports.
According to Coach Saka Bola Morrow, the organizer, the tournament is not only a platform for discovering future football stars but also a means of instilling discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young players.
