Crown FC of Ogbomoso has strengthened its squad ahead of the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season with the acquisition of experienced shot-stopper Majayogbe Muyiwa Matthew, a former goalkeeper of Bayelsa United and ABS FC.
Majayogbe, who brings years of top-level experience, joins the Ajilete Warriors with the clear mission of helping the team secure promotion to the prestigious Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). His arrival is seen as a major boost for the club’s ambitions, especially as Crown FC intensifies preparations for a competitive campaign in the country’s second-tier league.
Speaking after finalizing the deal, the Kwara-born goalkeeper expressed excitement about the new challenge and vowed to give everything to ensure Crown FC returns to the NPFL.
“This is an important step in my career,” Majayogbe told Pristinegist Online Media.
“Crown FC is a big club with passionate supporters. I’m here to contribute my experience and help the team fight for promotion. It won’t be easy, but with determination and teamwork, we can achieve our target.”
The goalkeeper also appreciated the management of Crown FC for believing in his ability:
“I want to thank the management and coaching crew for trusting me. I promise to work hard, stay focused, and justify their confidence on and off the pitch.”
Crown FC officials have also expressed optimism that Majayogbe’s addition will provide depth, leadership, and stability to the team’s backline as they chase a successful NNL campaign.
