The 2025 edition of the Kwara Kiddies YEG League will come to an exciting conclusion on Sunday, December 14, 2025, as the Grand Finale holds at the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) Pitch in Ilorin. According to the Organising Committee, the event will kick off at 3:00 p.m., bringing months of grassroots football action to a colourful close.
The Kwara Kiddies League, now in its fourth season, has continued to strengthen its reputation as one of Kwara State’s leading child-focused football development programmes. Designed to discover and nurture emerging talents, the league has exposed hundreds of young footballers to structured competition while instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
This year’s Grand Finale is expected to be the most vibrant so far, featuring final-day matches, funfair activities, kiddies’ games, entertainment, and an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding players, coaches, and participating academies.
High-profile personalities are also expected to grace the occasion. Among them are Super Eagles star and Chairman of Kwara Kiddies League Ltd, Taiwo Awoniyi, who will serve as Host; Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Idris Abdullahi Musa, who will be the Chief Host; and Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, who will function as the Father of the Day.
Speaking ahead of the finale, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Olaide Ahli, said the league continues to exceed expectations in talent development.
“The Kwara Kiddies League has grown into a powerful platform for nurturing the next generation of football stars. This Grand Finale is not just the end of a season—it is a celebration of the dreams, talent, and resilience of our young athletes. We appreciate the coaches, parents, academies, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to the success of this season,” he said.
The Committee has extended an open invitation to football enthusiasts, schools, academies, families, and the general public to be part of the celebration and support the young footballers as they round off the season.
