Super Falcons midfield maestro, Halimatu Ayinde, has written her name in gold after clinching the inaugural UEFA Women’s Europa Cup (2025/2026 season) with Swedish side BK Häcken FF.
The Kwara State-born star was instrumental in her team’s historic triumph, delivering commanding performances in midfield as BK Häcken FF emerged champions of the maiden edition of the competition.
With this feat, Ayinde becomes only the second Nigerian to win a UEFA women’s club title, joining Asisat Oshoala, who enjoyed success in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with FC Barcelona Femení.
Her latest achievement further cements her reputation as one of Nigeria’s finest midfielders and a key figure in the Super Falcons setup. It is also a moment of immense pride for Kwara State and Nigerian football, as Ayinde continues to shine on the global stage.
