The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has congratulated Alhaja Raliat Amope AbdulRazaq, mother of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), on the occasion of her birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State speaker, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, mnipr on Tuesday, 26th of May 2026, the Speaker described Alhaja AbdulRazaq as a trailblazer and an outstanding woman whose contributions laid a strong foundation for women’s participation in politics and community development in Kwara State.
He noted that the celebrant, who is widely regarded as an advocate for women and children, made history as the first female councillor in Kwara State, a milestone that opened doors for greater inclusion of women in governance and public service.
Rt. Hon. Danladi-Salihu further praised her humility, philanthropy, and unwavering commitment to family and community, describing her as a responsible wife, devoted mother, and respected community leader whose life continues to inspire many.
According to him, her legacy of service and dedication to the upliftment of women and children remains a reference point for leadership and societal development in the state.
The Speaker prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon her, asking for sound health, long life, and greater fulfilment in the years ahead as she marks another year of grace.
