Eyeball Football Technologies has announced a new partnership with the Kwara Kiddies League (KKL), aimed at providing young footballers and coaches in the league with advanced player-development, video analysis and scouting tools.
The partnership forms part of Eyeball Football’s broader mission to address one of the major challenges facing African football development: limited visibility and access to reliable video and player-performance data.
Founded in 2020 on the principle that “Visibility Creates Opportunity,” Eyeball Football provides cameras and player-development technology to football academies across Africa, with tools similar to those used by professional academies in Europe.
The company currently works with more than 250 academies and over 86,000 players across 17 African countries, while more than 150 professional clubs use the platform for scouting and player evaluation.
Through the partnership, coaches in the Kwara Kiddies League will gain access to Eyeball’s analysis tools, enabling them to evaluate players using video footage and performance data. The technology will also allow young players to review their match highlights and better understand their individual performances and areas for improvement.
The initiative is particularly significant for the KKL, which provides football and educational pathways for more than 500 young players from participating academies in Kwara State.
The partnership is also supported by Coventry striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who is investing in the Kwara Kiddies League as part of his commitment to creating sustainable development opportunities for young footballers.
Reflecting on his own journey, Awoniyi said being seen at the right moment played an important role in his career and expressed his desire to make such opportunities less dependent on luck for the next generation.
“Players need good pitches, equipment and competitions, and we are investing in those things too. But for me, development has to lead somewhere.”
David Hicks, Chief Strategy Officer of Eyeball Football, said the company was excited to work with Awoniyi and the Kwara Kiddies League, noting that the footballer’s vision extends beyond traditional support for grassroots football.
Hicks said the partnership would enable the highly qualified coaches and ambitious young players of the KKL to benefit from Eyeball’s player-development tools while making their academies more visible to scouts around the world.
The partnership represents an important step towards connecting grassroots football in Kwara with the wider global football ecosystem, giving young players access to technology, data and exposure that can support their development and potentially create pathways to professional opportunities.
For Eyeball Football and the Kwara Kiddies League, the partnership reinforces a shared belief that talent development should not only be about discovering players, but also about giving them the visibility, tools and pathways needed to progress.
