The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has urged party supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation and canvass for support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Danladi-Salihu made the call during an engagement with youths, women, community stakeholders, and development associations in Okuta on Saturday, as the APC prepares to officially commence its campaign activities for the 2027 elections.
The APC governorship candidate charged party supporters to take the party’s message to the grassroots by engaging their neighbours, families, friends, and other members of their communities.
He expressed confidence that the party would secure victory across the various elective positions, attributing the expected success to what he described as the exemplary leadership of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
According to him, the APC’s campaign should focus on communicating the achievements of the administration to the people and highlighting the impact of government policies and programmes across the state.
Danladi-Salihu also appealed to party supporters to maintain restraint, tolerance, and civility during political engagements, particularly when interacting with supporters of opposing political parties.
He stressed the importance of issue-based political engagement, urging supporters to avoid unnecessary confrontations and instead focus on communicating the achievements of the APC-led government.
He further expressed optimism that, by the grace of God, the APC would record victory from the presidential election involving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the governorship, State House of Assembly, and other elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
