The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for supporting four of its members involved in a motor accident along Alapa road, Asa local government on Sunday.
ASKOMP Chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeek in a statement issued on Sunday said the proactive response of Governor AbdulRazaq by clearing their medical bills and releasing cash support.
His words: “We appreciate His Excellency, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for supporting our members involved in a motor accident today by clearing their medical bills and releasing cash support. This further confirms the Governor is media-friendly and compassionate.”
The journalists, who sustained minor injuries in the accident, were involved in the incident earlier today while travelling to Alapa in Asa Local Government Area for an official assignment
Those involved are Aiyelabegan Babatunde Abdulrasaq of Just Event Online Publications (JEO), Saeed Tijjani of 9jaParrot, Umar Umar of Trove Online Media, and Isiaq Sulyman Kayode of Trove Online Media.
The gesture was facilitated by Former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and APC National House of Assembly representative of Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye; and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Communications to the Governor, Ibraheem Abdullateef delivered the message while the Journalists receiving treatment at Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.
