Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Football Club faced relegation to the NLO (Nigeria Nationwide League) after finishing last in the NNL (Nigeria National League) playoff, held at Kano’s Sani Abacha Stadium.
In response to the disappointing results of the recent Nigeria National League (NNL) Relegation playoff, which took place at Kano’s Sani Abacha Stadium, the management of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC has reassured its loyal fans that the team is committed to making a swift return to the country’s second-tier league.
Speaking at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the venue for the final of the Valuejetcup23, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, the Director of Football at ABS Ilorin FC, acknowledged that various factors contributed to the team’s underwhelming performance.
However, he remained optimistic about the club’s future prospects and expressed confidence in its ability to bounce back quickly.
Chukwuemeka stated, “While the recent outcome was not what we had hoped for, rest assured that with the right conditions and a suitable environment, we will mount a rapid resurgence. Our football structure is robust and conducive to fostering growth in the sport. We have a plethora of talented ABS FC players spread across the nation and even beyond, which makes our current situation all the more perplexing.”
He continued, “We are well aware of the challenges at hand and are fully prepared to navigate them, aiming to regain our rightful position in the near future. We urge our dedicated fans and supporters to maintain their unwavering belief in the team, which has a strong tradition of delivering an impressive brand of soccer on the field.”
