The 2026 Summer Edition of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme is transitioning into a new phase as it progressed into Week Five, Week Five showcasing student’s accelerated strengthening and build up of solutions oriented skills across participating centres.
As learners continue to build on their problem solving practical digital skills as they ramp up preparatory sessions to enable an effective transitioning to project-building phase.
Week Five spotlights on strengthening and building on the knowledge improvements recorded in the previous week, particularly the improvements and mastery as recorded during WTEC’s monitoring visits led by Mrs ibiyeye across participating centres in the previous week.
Few of these improvements include skills in Python pips, loops, conditional statements, functions, modules, web development, JavaScript and more, while learning the practical application towards their project building.
As part of the activities of the programme, Week Five also included the continued administration of the post-evaluation for students. This activity follows the same process used for the previous pre-evaluation, accompanied with uploads of the post-evaluation responses.
These regular assessments are conducted to ensure effective and efficient tracking of overall learning progress across participating centres.
Also featured in Week Five is the continuation of the submissions of project titles and ideas, as conceived or selected by learners across participating centres. These submissions were built on earlier provisions of project ideas suggestions by the programme’s technical teams. Those suggestions are intended to offer direction and inspiration, with the freedom to use or check other innovative ideas outside the suggested list based on suitability and student’s progress showcases the programme’s openness to creativity and innovation.
As the weeks ahead intensifies with preparations and transitioning of learners further into the project-building phase, the programme is officially approaching the most important part of the participating students’ journey, preparing them for the Grand Exhibition where participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and digital innovations.
Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, the Programme continues to undertake the noteworthy task of equipping young people across the state with relevant, practical, and future-ready digital skills.
The Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Digital Innovations continues to extend profound appreciation to His Excellency for his continued support and commitment to expanding digital education and opportunities for young people across Kwara State.
