The Chief Executive Officer of AOB Foundation, Bello Aliu, popularly known as Santana, has commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his outstanding commitment to sports development in the state.
Santana made this statement after a meeting with the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, in Ilorin. The discussion centered on the progress of sports in Kwara State, the achievements recorded under the present administration, and future plans to elevate sports to greater heights.
Speaking after the meeting, Santana praised Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership in prioritizing sports development, particularly through infrastructural upgrades and grassroots initiatives. He noted that the construction of a squash court and the establishment of Nigeria’s first dedicated table tennis hall are significant milestones that will benefit young athletes for years to come.
“These developments are clear evidence of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through sports,” Santana stated. “I have heard many say that Kwara is experiencing a new era in sports, and after my conversation with the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, I can confidently say that the governor’s vision is truly inspiring.”
While acknowledging the state government’s efforts, Santana reserved special praise for the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, for his dedication, leadership, and passion for sports development.
He described Mogaji as a visionary administrator whose efforts have played a key role in translating Governor AbdulRazaq’s vision into concrete achievements. Santana particularly commended Mogaji for his proactive approach to sports administration, his commitment to grassroots development, and his relentless drive to improve sports infrastructure in the state.
“The chairman’s leadership has been nothing short of exceptional. His commitment to grassroots sports development, his efforts in securing major sports projects, and his support for young athletes in Kwara are commendable. He has consistently demonstrated that he is not just an administrator but a true sports enthusiast who wants the best for the state,” Santana remarked.
Under Mogaji’s leadership, the Kwara State Sports Commission has overseen major improvements in sports infrastructure, renovation of key facilities, enhanced support for athletes, and the hosting of notable sporting events that have put Kwara State in the spotlight.
Speaking on his vision for sports, Governor AbdulRazaq has consistently reiterated his commitment to transforming Kwara into a major sports hub and a center for talent development. With Mogaji’s effective leadership and dedication, that vision is steadily being realized.
Meanwhile, Santana also unveiled his plans for the Seyi Tinubu Cityzens Cup in Kwara State, a tournament aimed at fostering community engagement, youth empowerment, and talent development through football.
