
The Kwara State Baseball and Softball Association, operating under the umbrella of the Nigeria Baseball and Softball Federation (NBSF), has congratulated the newly reconstituted leadership of the Kwara State Sports Commission following their appointment by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq today.
In a statement signed by NBSF President, Uche Odozor, the body described the appointments as a “balanced, inclusive, and promising step” for the future of sports administration in the state.
The association particularly commended the reappointment of Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji as Executive Chairman of the Commission, noting that his leadership has already laid a strong foundation for sporting development in Kwara.
It also applauded the appointments of Mrs. Yemisi Monisola Makajuola, reappointment of Alhaji Dele Abubakar, and Hon. Abdullahi Yunusa Lade as representatives of the three senatorial districts, stressing that their inclusion reflects Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to equitable representation.
“As stakeholders in the growth of grassroots and elite sports, we are willing to support the new leadership in fostering excellence, equity, and innovation within the sporting ecosystem,” the statement read.
The body further expressed optimism that the new Sports Commission board will ensure sustainable advancement across all sporting disciplines, including baseball and softball.
