As anticipation builds ahead of the 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for unwavering support and investment in sports development today.
In an interview ahead of the contingent departure to As for National Youth Games, Mallam Mogaji stated that the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq has continued to prioritize sports as a tool for youth engagement, unity, and national representation.
“Our athletes are going to Asaba with high hopes, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the unrelenting support of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He has not only supported us financially but has been a pillar of motivation to both athletes and officials,” Mogaji expressed.
The Chairman also extended heartfelt well-wishes to Team Kwara, praying for journey mercies, a competition free from injury, and most importantly, a commendable performance at the Games.
“We believe in the talent and discipline of our young athletes. I urge them to compete with the true spirit of sportsmanship and aim for the podium. Let’s make Kwara proud,” he added.
Team Kwara will be competing across several disciplines in the 9th edition of the National Youth Games scheduled to hold in Asaba, Delta State — a platform known for discovering the next generation of Nigerian sports stars.
The Kwara State Sports Commission, under Mogaji’s leadership, continues to reposition the state as a formidable force in Nigerian youth sports.
