Kwara’s rising cycling sensation, Falilat AbdulRazaq, has once again brought glory to the state after emerging winner of the Women’s 60KM Criterium Race at the just-concluded Cycology Cycling Club event held at Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, on November 1, 2025.
Falilat, a double gold medalist at the last National Youth Games in Asaba, displayed exceptional stamina, focus, and determination to outpace competitors from 16 states across the federation.

Her teammate, Suleiman Hikmat, also representing Kwara State, finished impressively in second place, while Lagos State’s representative secured the third position.
In an exclusive interview, Falilat expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment to sports development in Kwara State. She also appreciated the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, for his leadership, as well as the Kwara State Cycling Coach, Coach Lookman, and the entire Kwara cycling family for their continuous support and encouragement.
Her victory once again highlights Kwara’s growing dominance in national cycling and reflects the positive results of the state government’s investment in youth and sports development.
