The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji, on Monday, 15th of June 2026 in Ilorin received the Abdul Momoh Master Class Special Award of Recognition for his selfless service and contributions to sports development.
The award was presented during a ceremony held at the Taiwo Awoniyi Sports Media Centre, SWAN Secretariat, Ilorin, in recognition of his dedication, resilience and commitment to advancing sports in Kwara State.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mallam Mogaji commended Abdul Momoh for his determination and consistency in promoting the image of Kwara State through sports photography and media coverage.
He reiterated the commitment of the Kwara State Sports Commission to continue collaborating with relevant stakeholders to further enhance sports development across the state.
Mallam Mogaji also urged Abdul Momoh to remain a worthy ambassador of Kwara State during his coverage of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Canada/ USA/Mexico.
The Sports Commission chairman, however, expressed disappointment over Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the global football showpiece, describing the absence of the Super Eagles from the tournament as unfortunate for football-loving Nigerians.
He wished Abdul Momoh a successful outing in Canada and encouraged him to continue projecting the positive image of Kwara State and Nigeria through his professional engagements.
