Bola Mogaji Congratulates Kabir Dogo on Federation Cup Triumph, Celebrates Ilorin Coaching Excellence

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has congratulated former Kwara United coach, Coach Kabir Dogo, on his remarkable achievement of winning the 2025/2026 Federation Cup with El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.

Coach Dogo guided El-Kanemi Warriors to victory in the prestigious competition after defeating Ikorodu City United in the final played on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State, to become the third coach from Kwara State to win the Federation Cup in the last three years.

In his congratulatory message, Coach Bola Mogaji described Dogo’s achievement as a testament to his dedication, experience, and professionalism, noting that the success further highlights the quality of coaching talents emerging from Kwara State.

According to Mogaji, the back-to-back successes recorded by Kwara-born coaches in Nigeria’s oldest football competition demonstrate the state’s rich football heritage and its contribution to the growth of the nation’s football development.

Coach Kabir Dogo has now joined an elite list of Kwara coaches who have won the Federation Cup since 2024, following the achievements of Coach Aliyu Zubair in 2024 and Coach Tunde Sanni in 2025.

Mogaji praised Dogo for his tactical knowledge, leadership qualities, and ability to deliver results under pressure, while wishing him success in his new role as the Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes.

The Sports Commission Chairman noted that the continuous rise of Kwara coaches on the national stage remains a source of pride and motivation for upcoming coaches, players, and sports stakeholders in the state.

“Success in sports is built through dedication, discipline, and continuous learning. Coach Kabir Dogo’s achievement is a reflection of the quality of coaches we have in Kwara State,” Mogaji said.
