New NYSC Coordinator Visits Bola Mogaji, Builds Partnership for Youth and Sports Growth

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to deepening its partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in using sports as a tool for youth development and empowerment.

Coach Mogaji gave the assurance on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, when he received the newly deployed NYSC Kwara State Coordinator, Mr. Musa Tukur Kafarda, who paid a courtesy visit to the Commission’s headquarters as part of his familiarization tour of key stakeholders in the state.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss areas of mutual collaboration, particularly the role of sports in advancing the objectives of the NYSC Scheme, promoting youth engagement, and creating opportunities for young people across Kwara State.

Speaking during the visit, Coach Mogaji highlighted the importance of sports as a vehicle for talent discovery, leadership development, discipline, and social integration. He assured the NYSC Coordinator that the Kwara State Sports Commission remains ready to collaborate with the scheme in organizing sporting activities and youth-oriented programmes that will positively impact corps members and residents of the state.

He congratulated Mr. Kafarda on his appointment as the new NYSC State Coordinator and pledged the Commission’s full support towards building a strong and productive relationship.

In his response, Mr. Musa Tukur Kafarda appreciated the warm reception and expressed his willingness to work closely with the Kwara State Sports Commission to promote the ideals of the NYSC through sports and other youth-focused initiatives.
The visit is part of the new NYSC State Coordinator’s familiarization tour aimed at strengthening relationships with strategic stakeholders and fostering greater collaboration for the overall development of Kwara State.
